CE&I Design Engineer(s) - Nuclear

Delkia is currently seeking CE&I Design Engineer(s) to support our clients in the Nuclear Industry.

Expertise

 

Successful candidates will be competent and proven CE&I design capable of producing designs, schemes, drawings, supporting calculations and technical documents with minimal supervision. They will have the ability to translate internal tasks and instructions into a meaningful engineered design solution.  Good communication skills are essential and engineering design experience is fundamental, nuclear experience is preferable but not essential.
 
The CE&I Design Engineer(s) will:  

  • Be responsible for the Engineering Quality of the project deliverables and drawings ensuring compliance with client specifications and engineering standards and local domain policy and procedures.

  • Be responsible for the delivery of technical quality of all conceptual designs, design schemes and detail drawings and associated design documentation.

  • Maintain compliance with Engineering Standards and applicable legislation

  • Participate in Design Reviews and, where appropriate, organise such reviews. Ensure that subsequent design meets the projects' requirements.

  • Ensure the confidentiality and security of data and information received from clients is upheld.

  • Be able to carry out technical drawings in both 2D and 3D

  • Ensure effective project delivery to time and cost. 

  • CE&I Design engineers will have demonstrable experience in a wide range of CE&I design packages.

  • Work part of a team whilst supporting apprentices / graduates (where appropriate).

Skills and Experience 

 

  • Educated to HNC / HND in a relevant engineering discipline, or Incorporated/Chartered Engineer, or working towards gaining professional status.

  • Have working knowledge of AutoCAD, PDMS, CIMAGE, Amtech Power Software and MS Office suite of programmes.

  • Must be able to obtain or hold suitable security clearance.

  • Working knowledge of the civil nuclear sector.

Candidates must be a British National and be able to meet security clearance. Additional psychometric testing may also be carried out with full background checks.
