We have an exciting opportunity to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Design Engineer to join our dynamic team at Delkia.

 

Overview of the role

 

We are recruiting at the junior and senior levels so you will either be taking your first steps in your career (with a relevant degree or equivalent experience), or you will have several years’ experience in a similar role and be looking to grow in experience and responsibility.

 

Successful candidates will be responsible for designing electrical, control and instrumentation systems, and they will have (or will develop) the ability to translate a client's requirements into meaningful engineering drawings, calculations, specifications, and reports.

 

Good communications, problem-solving skills and personal drive are essential qualities in our engineers, and you will thrive in our dynamic and challenging engineering environment.

 

We expect our engineers to:

 

  • Design and develop Industrial control systems at all levels of complexity from relay logic to site-wide PLC deployments.

  • Be responsible for the engineering quality of designs and supporting documentation, ensuring compliance with client specifications and engineering standards and local domain policy and procedures.

  • Be responsible for the technical development and quality of all concept designs, detailed design, schematics, loop diagrams and equipment layouts.

  • Oversee site testing and system commissioning.

Desired Qualifications / Prerequisites:

 

  • Ideally educated to degree in a relevant engineering discipline or relevant experience.

  • Must be able to obtain or hold suitable security clearance and be a British National.

  • Conversant with the Office 365 suite of software.

  • Knowledge of Autodesk AutoCAD, Inventor and / or Revit.

  • Ideally Trimble ProDesign/Amtech would be advantageous.

  • Key previous experience would include Industrial Instrumentation, Motor Control, Process Control, Functional Safety, Control Panel Design, PLC / DCS systems, SCADA, and Electrical Distribution.
