Key Accountabilities Manage all aspects of quoted works process in order to maximise profit and operating profit. Estimating the costs of projects in order to meet or exceed client’s requirements. Support on tendering opportunities. This will involve the full appraisal of tender documents, issuing subcontracting enquiries, undertaking site visits and preparing budgets, estimates and cost plans using estimating software. Attend internal adjudications and making presentations at client interviews where necessary. Support the programme of works safely, on time and to the required quality. Obtain suitable market quotations. Ensuring good quality & accurate records are kept and maintained. An estimating background with construction experience would be beneficial.
Minimum of a relevant HND or equivalent. At least 5 years’ experience. Conversant with NEC3 / JCT Contracts. Ideally holds a CSCS card. Experience of working on projects within the relevant sector or as specific to project. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members and senior management team. Able to produce accurate work within required deadlines and multi-task on several projects simultaneously. Has a "can do/ will do" attitude with excellent negotiation skills. Punctual and reliable and a strong team player. To work safely and efficiently. Conducts themselves in a courteous and professional manner and has a strong business acumen.
