This role would suit a mechanical designer with good experience of Autodesk Revit MEP and ideally Autodesk Inventor. The successful candidate will be required to create and update mechanical drawings in support of system design supporting Electrical, Mechanical and HVAC systems. This mechanical designer role would suit working towards being a senior building services designer. The individual would support projects from concept to detailed design, on-site support and clash management. The successful candidate would support clients through conceptualisation, overlay, integration of VR and AR, BIM compliance. Building Services will include electrical containment systems, piping systems, lighting, ducting, building structures and plant / building equipment. Additionally the successful candidate will also assist in the development of fabrication drawings for off-site manufacturing and modularisation as well as product development.
Skills / Qualifications
Fluent in Autodesk Revit MEP Software or similar
Must be 2D and 3D engineering design conversant
Preferably have relevant engineering / design qualification and / or have previous proven engineering design experience
Experience in the Nuclear Industry would be advantageous but not critical
Have excellent attention to detail
Knowledge of stress analysis and CFD is ideal but not essential
Creating assembly exploded views and videos of products
Experience of complex isometrics would be ideal but not essential
Knowledge of Microsoft package
Experience in previous buildings services roles would be advantageous
Integrating other software suites into Autodesk Revit MEP such as Amtech and Relux e.g. interoperability / IFC
Experience with X-ref management and integration into other disciplines would also be advantageous
Integration of VR and AR would be preferable
Use of Autodesk’s Navisworks and 3D Max would be advantageous
Understanding of CIBSE Guidance’s would be advantageous
