We have an exciting opportunity to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Electronics Design Engineer to join our dynamic team at Delkia.
Overview of the role
As an Electronics Design Engineer you will develop and regularly review new electronic designs for control and imaging detection systems within the aerospace, defence and maritime sectors, as well as supporting on internal research and development projects. You will play a key role in ensuring designs meet safety and environmental regulations and best
practice. You will work within a highly regarded and small multi-disciplinary engineering team.
Core Skills
Affinity for electronic hardware architecture and design principles particularly around Microprocessors and Power Supply design
Experience of printed circuit design principles
Experienced in CAD systems for schematic entry and PCB layout. (e.g. Cadence Allegro tools, Autodesk Eagle and PSpice)
Demonstrable knowledge of the principles of electronic hardware testing and diagnostics
Desired Qualifications / Prerequisites:
Relevant degree or similar qualification/experience
Working knowledge of FPGA, PLDs, SoC design and verification for embedded systems applications
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal, leadership and team-building skills
A good Understanding of regulatory requirements for aerospace complex hardware design
Knowledge of DO-254 as applicable to Custom Logic design and Verification
A working knowledge of regulatory and safety requirements for safety critical products (ideally gained in an avionics or similar environment)
Be able to strategically prioritise work
Be a critical thinker, analytical-minded and challenges existing processes
