We have an exciting opportunity to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Senior EC&I Engineer to join our dynamic team at Delkia.


Overview of the role:


Successful candidates will be a competent and proven EC&I engineer, capable of producing, checking and facilitating designs, drawings, supporting calculations and technical documents (inc. Plans) without direct supervision. They will have the ability to translate a client's requirements into a meaningful engineering and technical solution. Good communication skills are essential and engineering design and PES engineering experience is fundamental.


Key responsibilities:


• Maintain the Engineering Quality of the project delivery, ensuring compliance with client specifications and engineering standards and local domain policy and procedures.

• Be responsible for the technical quality of all conceptual designs, optioneering studies, requirements capture, user requirements specification and use cases.

• Have experience in designing for functional safety and mission-critical systems.

• Have experience of lifecycle and maturity management.

• Quickly self-deliver pragmatic systems solutions from a brief problem statement.

• Maintain compliance with Engineering Standards and applicable legislation.

• Participate in Design and System Level Reviews and, where appropriate, organise such reviews. Ensure that subsequent design meets the project and client requirements.

• Ensure the confidentiality and security of data and information received from clients is upheld.

• Ensure effective project delivery to time and cost.

• Support and mentor apprentices / graduates (where appropriate).

Desired Qualifications / Prerequisites:

• Ideally educated to degree level in a relevant engineering discipline or relevant experience

• Must be able to obtain or hold suitable security clearance and be a British National

• Conversant with the Office 365 suite of software

• Plant process knowledge and experience

• Knowledge of one or more of a variety of PES technologies – PLC, SCADA, DCS, SQL Server, Modicon M, MIS/HLS

• Key previous experience would include Industrial Instrumentation, Motor Control, Process Control, Functional Safety, Control Panel Design, PLC / DCS systems, SCADA, and Electrical Distribution
