Delkia is a specialist Systems Integrator operating throughout the UK and Internationally for safety-related and mission-critical systems in highly regulated sectors, including aerospace, clean energy and maritime. Our offering includes digital engineering, systems and technical consultancy, systems integration, engineering design, build-to-print, control panel build and complex control systems support, all of which are harnessed specifically for each project's needs, maturity and technology requirements.


Overview of the role

Our aerospace team is looking to grow its capabilities to meet the demands of new and existing partnerships. As such, we are looking to recruit against several roles and can offer a range of exciting opportunities within mission systems' and avionic systems' lifecycles (both permanent staff and sub-contract) for qualified and experienced engineers with experience of one or more of the following within high integrity / safety-critical systems:

  • System concepts / architecting

  • System / sub-system functional design

  • Requirements traceability, analysis & interfaces

  • Requirements analysis and design definition

  • Human machine interface (HMI) design

  • Safety & human factors analysis

  • Displays & controls design

  • Design maintenance (display moding, formats & datasheets)

  • Production of design qualification evidence to support certification.

  • System/subsystem equipment specification

  • Software functional requirement definition (FRD)

  • Software functional design

  • PCMS software configuration management

  • Data management

  • ICD management

  • System safety & hazard analysis

  • System/subsystem test, qualification & certification

  • Functional failure analysis (FFA)

  • Fault tree analysis

  • System integration

  • Advising on in-service fault investigations and queries

  • Technical management of suppliers



Desired Qualifications / Prerequisites:

  • Engineering degree qualified or equivalent

  • Experience in high integrity and safety critical applications (not necessarily aerospace / avionics)

  • Experience using associated engineering tools and methodologies such as MBSE, SysML, MATLAB, Simulink, PLM, DOORs, Statemate, UML, Dimensions CM, PCMS,

  • In-depth understanding of the full product lifecycle of programmes, particularly for the UK MoD and the MoD customer acquisition processes

  • Familiar with the ISO/IEC 15288 / ISO-15288 systems engineering lifecycle from concepting and requirements through design and development to test & qualification

  • Understanding of model-based design and model-based systems engineering including qualification and certification

  • Dedication to quality, configuration, reliability, security and safety with a data and evidence driven mindset

  • MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point), and CAD / PLM / ERP literacy


Candidates will be required to meet security vetting requirements, obtain SC clearance and work on-site 4-5 days per week.
