We have an exciting opportunity to appoint an enthusiastic and highly Technical Sales Engineer to join our management team at Delkia.
Overview of the role
The Technical Sales Engineer [TSE] will oversee all technical aspects of the business winning function. In essence: developing an understanding of clients’ requirements, defining the technical proposal and resultant cost build-up to meet this, with timely input to the companies’ collective tender/RFQ submission process. TSE will act as the company’s key technical interface between engineering and projects/sales staff, reporting directly to the Nuclear Relationship Manager (primarily) and Defence Relationship Manager (secondly).
The successful candidate will be meticulous, methodical and analytical. TSE will understand the importance of confidentiality ensuring company and client information security is upheld. TSE will be technically competent, predominantly in Systems Engineering, but also have a good understanding of other design disciplines [Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic and Software].
Key responsibilities:
Technical solution development in support of company tender/RFQ submissions and/or PQQ’s etc
Participation in presentations/technical dialogue to/with clients
Attendance at webinars, networking and other exhibition events attendance as may be required
Technical support to the FAT/SAT aspects of project delivery
Technical support to case study content generation
Technical support to the procurement function
Technical support to Engineering and Project Teams as and when requested/sanctioned
Ability to be dynamic and be part of small but rapidly growing business
Input strategic and operation technical information to aid the growth of the business
Be self-starting and proactive to contribute to a highly effective management team
Desired Qualifications / Prerequisites:
Degree qualified
A master’s degree in systems engineering (or similar) would be preferable
Chartered status through the IET
Outstanding communication skills with sound business related knowledge
Ability to support colleagues at all levels effectively and professionally even when presented with extreme circumstances
