Delkia is currently recruiting for a Project Administrator.

Key accountabilities:

Supporting safety and quality with administrative duties in a construction environment reporting to Construction Manager. Able to read drawings and technical specifications. Assisting in planning, estimating, purchasing, costing, scheduling and administrative elements of construction projects. Diary Management of the booking system and organising daily projects with front sheets.
You will also be the first point of call for calls into the office as well as maintaining regular contact with site operatives and customers to problem solve issues as they arise. Review projects and plan drawings in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs. Identify materials, equipment and consumables required to complete jobs and ensure they are delivered to site on time whilst ensuring best value and good relationships with key suppliers.
Maintain an inventory of plant, machinery and tools and their location and tools are regularly services and certificated. Make arrangements for operative’s accommodation whilst on site. Maintain schedules of costs incurred on all projects and provide detailed analysis and reports as required. Prepare risk assessments and workplace method statements for each construction project. Develop and maintain files incorporating Health & Safety, technical details, operations & maintenance and user instructions (Building Manual) for each customer.

Skills/Qualifications:

Knowledge of the building or construction industries. 5 years’ experience of reviewing projects and plan drawings to schedule deliverables and estimate costs. Use of project management tools preferable. Highly diligent with impeccable organisational skills. CSCS Cardholder. Ability to produce schedules of costs incurred on projects and providing analysis and reports. Maintains a good understanding of Health & Safety within the construction industry and associated record keeping. Good numeracy and computer skills. Good communication and problem solving skills and business acumen. Ability to work as part of a team and work well under pressure and meet deadlines. Support construction manager and senior management team when required. First aid preferable.
