We have an exciting opportunity to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Security & Vetting Controller to join our dynamic team at Delkia.

 

Overview of the role

The security controller must ensure that Delkia remains in compliance with the necessary security requirements.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Ensuring that all security requirements are met by the business and are compliant with Delkia Policy and other internal requirements as well as all external contractual obligations, legal requirements, and policy frameworks.

  • Carry out vetting controller for all personnel and security training including individual security clearances

  • Work in partnership with the ICT Manager to ensure adequate information access and control

  • Providing support and ensuring compliance to prime contract obligations in accordance with delegated authority approval and security process requirements.

  • Working collaboratively with the project teams to provide timely advice and accurate interpretations of security conditions associated with contracting authorities and sector regulatory security requirements. In addition, to support commercial, supply chain and bid work activities ensuring such security conditions are properly flowed down and accurately implemented.

  • Acting as the key point of contact to both internal and external stakeholders to enable an open and transparent working relationship focused on resolving issues as they arise as well as developing specific plans for change in support of new and existing business streams.

  • Carrying out internal assessments and necessary support to external partners in developing and maintaining facility and personnel security status across all current, accredited sites as well as supporting new sites in their assessment / status.

  • Implementing and monitoring the effectiveness of required security controls

  • Maintaining clearances within the company.

  • Implementing and managing the security visitor processes

Desired Qualifications / Prerequisites:

  • Security Controller qualification preferable, however training can be provided.

  • Previous experience as a security controller preferable, however not essential.

  • A thorough working knowledge of all aspects of the Security Policy Framework

  • Knowledge of UK nuclear (ONR) and defence (MoD) regulatory security framework desirable

  • Knowledge of Export Control desirable

  • Good practical understanding of the general requirements necessary to maintain compliance with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR)

  • Good knowledge of security risk management practices and the identification, implementation and monitoring of current risk mitigation techniques and processes.

  • Experience of producing accurate security risk assessments and being able to recommend proportionate mitigations and solutions to risk and vulnerabilities.
