Delkia is an expanding SME based in Cumbria. We are currently seeking a qualified Senior Project Manager to join our management team.

The role of Senior Project Manager will be to manage activities in support of outsourced engineering scope and enablement of delivery. This will be focused on enablement activities, interfacing with stakeholders to enable flow of information and timely discharge of work. The other aspect will be providing a flow of project related information to enable budgetary and progress review and facilitate delivery integration and spend project reviews.
The role will include:
Be the interface of reporting information – weekly status reporting of each system delivery performance against key milestones with SWOT report.
Provide input towards programme reporting through a monthly status and forward looking forecast of associated cost spend, technical and schedule risk position by system and overall, for the outsourced scope
Provide input to the monthly performance packs, quarterly budgeting and resource activities (EAC input, spend review, seek opportunities to improve schedule and cost and reduce risk)
Provision of PM skilled and experienced services to manage delivery of outsourced engineering scope
Generate and maintain schedules of delivery including agreed assumptions, dependencies and exclusions
Enablement of engineers, including direct management of delivered scope into stakeholder review, update and approvals
Facilitation of risk management and issue resolution with wider stakeholders where it is anticipated to impact the delivery schedule
Coordination with client project management to align any joint activities, product approvals, build / test activities / issues resolution
Coordination with client supply chain where required on DDQ (design development qualification) works, or activities in support of build contracts
Embrace engagement with client and Delkia Project Management Teams to share best practice and lessons learned to enable best possible pace of delivery whilst maintaining a quality output
Management of contract and technical baseline change in coordination with clients
• Schedule information / progress reports (written report and attendance at weekly review)
• Budgetary forecast (written monthly and attendance at monthly review)
• Spend tracking and justifications (written monthly and attendance at monthly review)
• Change proformas (submitted and attendance at weekly meeting, as required)
• Risk log (inc. assumptions, exclusions, dependencies, threats, opportunities and issues)
Skills and Experience
• Strong evidence of delivering medium to large and/or complex projects
• Knowledge of financial systems and environments
• Demonstrable experience in managing both business change/business readiness
• Recognised project management qualification, such as PMI, Prince2 or APM required
• Proven experience within an agile environment
Candidates must be a British National and be able to meet security clearance. Additional psychometric testing may also be carried out with full background checks.
