Training Success, DLM/ICO Course Sweden - May 2025

Swedish Naval Warfare Centre in Karlskrona, Sweden, from 11–23 May 2025.

We are happy to share the successful completion of the recent SyntheSys Data Link Manager / Interface Control Officer (DLM/ICO) course, hosted by the Swedish Naval Warfare Centre in Karlskrona, Sweden, from 11–23 May 2025.

The DLM/ICO role is crucial to the Tactical Data Link (TDL) interface, managing both planning and execution functions.

This comprehensive three-week programme brought together military professionals from Nordic countries who delved into TDL planning, building, and managing multi-TDL architectures, while fostering collaborative learning and forging valuable relationships for future endeavours.

Our programme went beyond theory by emphasising practical exercises, simulations, and real-world operational software to actively involve participants. This hands-on approach created a dynamic and collaborative learning environment, ensuring each student gained confidence and a deep understanding of every TDL. The new skills developed prepare individuals to become effective TDL planners, operators, and managers, satisfying tactical information exchange requirements during live operations and exercise/training environments.

The next DLM/ICO course will take place 6–24 October 2025; the location will be advised shortly
