    Clive - Head of Business Development & Training

    Clive Poole served in the Royal Air Force for 38 years, holding the role of Aerospace Systems Manager. His career began with basic training at RAF Swinderby and trade training at RAF West Drayton. Over the years, he was stationed at numerous key locations including RAF Neatishead, Saxa Vord, Bentley Priory, and the NATO Programming Centre in Belgium. He also served at RAF Buchan, Boulmer, Scampton, and Waddington, with overseas deployments to Iraq and three tours in the Falkland Islands.

    Clive encourages other veterans entering the civilian workforce to stay grounded in their service values. His advice is simple but powerful: “Never forget where you came from. Continue to apply the values that defined your service—RISE: Respect, Integrity, Service, Excellence.”

    Jack - Junior EC&I Engineer

    Whilst Jack completed his BEng in Mechatronics and Autonomous Systems at Liverpool John Moores University, he also trained as a Royal Marine Reservist, which helped him become highly effective at managing his study time. 

    “I was attracted to apply to Delkia because the company is undergoing rapid growth and has some interesting contracts. I also have the opportunity to be involved in a much wider range of activities.”

    Kim - Production Supervisor

    Kim Williams served in the Royal Air Force (RAF) for nearly 15 years as a Weapons Engineer. Her career took her across several key RAF bases including Halton, Cosford, Cottesmore, Marham, Benson, and a second posting at Cosford. She completed three overseas deployments to Kandahar (2012), Kabul (2016), and Bagram (2020), contributing to critical operations in Afghanistan.

    Her advice to other veterans entering civilian life is simple but powerful:
    “Give it a chance—it can take time to adjust.”

    Sam - Engineering Delivery Manager

    Sam served in the Royal Air Force for 22 years and one month as an Avionics Engineering Technician. His career took him to several key RAF stations including Cosford, Coningsby, Cottesmore, Marham, and Waddington. Over two decades of service, Sam developed deep technical expertise and a strong foundation in military engineering standards.

    Sam’s advice to veterans entering the civilian workforce is simple and wise: “Be patient, be adaptable, and keep your sense of humour.” These traits, he believes, are essential for navigating the shift from military to civilian life.

    Shaun - Defence Managing Director

    Shaun held senior roles at BAE Systems and served in the Royal Air Force, consistently delivering strategic insight and operational excellence.

    Now Delkia’s Managing Director for Defence, Shaun has extensive leadership experience across engineering, manufacturing, and the defence sector. He recently led a £40 million Ministry of Defence project awarded to an SME.​
