Stewart Watkins is MD of Delkia Limited. “We’ve grown from nothing to a team of 11 at Cleator Moor in just a few years,” he explained, “and collaborating with some of the bigger or better-known companies is our best route into the nuclear supply chain. For a small SME like us, working with PaR Systems was a great opportunity and one that we enjoyed and that encouraged our team. It’s given us the confidence to develop even more, invest in our staff and become the partner of choice for this sort of work in future.”
Dr Lindsay Edmiston, Acting Business Leader at NNL, also presented at the meeting and Bob Allison of Meldrum spoke briefly about his role with the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority’s SME Steering Group in Cumbria. Finally, David McGrath of Sellafield Ltd and Tom Crowe of LLW Repository Ltd updated delegates on the latest commercial news from their organisations.
The next BECBC Member Meeting will be held at Energus from 9am on Wednesday 3 May and the next meeting of the Nuclear Engagement Sector Group meeting will be hosted by Bender UK in Ulverston at the end of June 2017.
