Delkia sponsors Whitehaven Sea Cadets Awards
It was a privilege for Delkia to support the Whitehaven Sea Cadets Annual Awards on 18 March 2026 as the organisation’s corporate sponsor.
The awards ceremony celebrated the achievements, dedication and personal development of cadets over the past year, recognising excellence across a range of disciplines and activities. The event brought together cadets, families, volunteers and supporters to acknowledge the positive impact the Sea Cadets continue to have on young people across the local community.
Delkia CEO, Kurt Canfield, attended the ceremony and assisted in presenting awards to this year's recipients. Reflecting on the evening, he said:
“What stood out most wasn’t just the awards themselves, but the confidence, teamwork and sense of belonging being developed across the group. You can clearly see the impact the Sea Cadets have, not only on the young people involved but also on the wider community around them.
“Organisations like this play a far greater role than many people realise. They help to develop future skills, particularly in areas such as maritime engineering, technology and leadership, while building capable, resilient and confident individuals. We are proud to support that journey and to recognise the achievements of these outstanding young people.”
Delkia extends its congratulations to all award winners and nominees for their commitment and accomplishments. The company also recognises the invaluable contribution of the volunteers, staff and parents whose dedication and support make opportunities like these possible. The evening was a proud occasion for everyone involved and a celebration of the bright future being built through the Sea Cadets movement.
As a proud signatory of the Armed Forces Covenant, Delkia is dedicated to ensuring those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces and their families, are treated fairly and with respect in the communities, economy, and society they faithfully serve.
