Delkia's Project Bumblebee, has been exploring the capability to generate vehicle motion simulations and foundation vehicle control systems, at the push of a button.

 

Bumblebee applies data science in a three-stage process to:

 

1. Extract a vehicle’s motion from its physical characteristics

2. Derive a foundation vehicle control system

3. Optimise the VCS through semi-automated test and evaluation

The project is intended to subvert traditional platform development, with the following objectives:

​

• Vehicle motion simulations can be generated to inform and derisk early lifecycle activities

• The foundation control software and optimiser accelerates the route to live trials and vehicle motion control system validation
