Delkia has expanded into Sutton House at Dovenby Hall Estate, Cockermouth, following the opening of its 18,000 sq. ft engineering production centre in Haydock. The 5,960 sq. ft site offers offices, training and collaboration space. Malcolm Wilson OBE welcomed Delkia, handing keys to MD Stephen Neale and CFO Amy Bryant.

A new engineering production centre has opened in Haydock, near St Helens, as specialist engineering and technology company Delkia expands its operations into Merseyside. The 18,000 sq ft manufacturing facility was officially opened by David Baines, Labour MP for St Helens North, marking a major step for the British company.

Whitehaven Sea Cadets have received a £600 donation from specialist engineering and technology company Delkia to support refurbishment of their new unit. The cadets have been in temporary accommodation since storms damaged their barracks in 2013. Essential renovations include a fire alarm system, electrical rewire, and a new roof.

Delkia will open a new Power and Propulsion Centre of Excellence in Haydock, Lancashire, in May 2025. The facility will focus on large-scale production, testing, and assembly of power propulsion systems, manage complex projects like glovebox control systems, and create over twenty new jobs to support Delkia’s growth.

Kurt Canfield, CEO of Delkia, and Rebecca Draper, Chair of Delkia’s Corporate Social Responsibility group, visited the Growing Well charity in Egremont to present a trowel and fork set, symbolising the £1,000 donation the company is making. This consists of £500 towards core funding to run programs and £500 to repair damage caused to the site by Storm Éowyn.

Delkia launched its Dragonfly and Nest technology programmes in early 2024 to develop safety and mission-critical systems for the uncrewed aviation and advanced air mobility sectors. The Dragonfly programme is focused on the air vehicle development, whilst Nest is advancing the technologies required for trusted operations and mission performance of the uncrewed system.
