We have an exciting opportunity to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated EC&I Design Engineer to join our dynamic team at Delkia.
Overview of the role
The successful candidate will be a competent and proven EC&I engineer, capable of producing, checking and facilitating designs, drawings, supporting calculations and technical documents (inc. Plans) with minimum supervision. They will have the ability to translate a client's requirements into a meaningful engineering and technical solution. Good communication skills and EC&I design skills are essential.
Key responsibilities
Maintain the Engineering Quality of the project delivery, ensuring compliance with client specifications and engineering standards and local domain policy and procedures.
Be responsible for the technical quality of conceptual designs, optioneering studies, requirements capture, user requirements specification and use cases.
Have experience in designing for functional safety and mission-critical systems.
Have experience of lifecycle and maturity management.
Quickly self-deliver pragmatic systems solutions from a brief problem statement.
Maintain compliance with Engineering Standards and applicable legislation.
Participate in Design and System Level Reviews. Ensure that subsequent design meets the project and client requirements.
Ensure the confidentiality and security of data and information received from clients is upheld.
Ensure effective project delivery to time and cost.
Support and mentor apprentices / graduates (where appropriate).
Qualifications & Skills:
Good working knowledge of EC&I Design Software, e.g. Autocad Electrical, E-Plan P8 or similar
Ideally educated to degree level in a relevant engineering discipline or relevant experience
Conversant with the Office 365 suite of software
Plant process knowledge and experience
Knowledge of one or more of a variety of PES technologies – PLC, SCADA,DCS, SQL Server, Modicon M, MIS/HLS
