We have an exciting opportunity to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Planning Engineer to join our dynamic team at Delkia.
Overview of the role
As a Planning Engineer at Delkia, you will play a pivotal role in the development and delivery of projects within the organisation. Working closely with our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for the creation and baselining of project schedules, regular monitoring and proactive management of the project programmes and support project managers with monthly project reporting (internally & externally).
Key responsibilities
Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 software.
Drive transition from Microsoft Project over to P6.
Establish planning processes and procedures and develop best practice for Delkia Ltd.
Work closely with integrated project team to understand project requirements, logic and constraints.
Identify critical path activities, potential schedule risks and propose mitigation strategies.
Monitor project progress and update schedules as necessary to reflect performance (actuals & forecast).
Appropriately manage project change.
Generate reports and provide analysis on project schedule performance, resource utilisation, and EVM metrics.
Collaborate with project teams to resolve scheduling conflicts and optimise project timelines.
Qualifications & Skills:
Proven experience in project planning and coordination.
Proficiency in project planning tools and software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6 or equivalent.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and mitigate project risks.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
Proven experience utilising and understanding EVM metrics to report on project status.
Proactive and challenging attitude to engage with integrated project team members.
Formal Primavera P6 training is desirable.
