Overview of the role:


We have an exciting opportunity to appoint enthusiastic and highly motivated Product Management – Equipment Engineers to join our dynamic team at Delkia. Our aerospace team is looking to provide competent engineering support to a major local defence contractor. As such we are looking to recruit against several roles within the Subsystem Equipment teams.


Candidates will be required to obtain security clearance and to work on site when required (initially 4-5 days per week to enable training and familiarisation, with the expectation of evolving to 1-2 days on site per week, or fortnight, allowing more working from home). Key


Responsibilities:


• Manage the supplier’s engineering programme

• Ensuring distribution of updated design specification to the suppliers

• Liaison with procurement for technical advice and supplier liaison

• Attend supplier reviews (virtual and face to face) as required

• Review and process supplier technical documentation (DRL’s) plus review and acceptance of any resulting amendments

• Coordinate evidence to support Design Certification delivery including Technical Publications and Logistical support aspects

• Manage Change Applications through CCBs including recommending Type Change Classifications to the Sub System CVEs

• Process formal Change Proposals through to Change Approvals

• Attend internal progress and management reviews

• Support Certification Plan deliverable to the satisfaction of the CVEs

• Support equipment Qualification Plans associated with Certification, optimising installation, rig, and flight testing as required

• Facilitate Certification gate review(s) with equipment CVE as the Design Authority

• Facilitate and witness rig and flight test activities as required in relation to equipment certification

• Support to Physical/Functional Configuration Audits

• Advising on In-Service Fault Investigations and Queries


Qualifications & Skills:


• Engineering Degree qualified or equivalent in Aerospace or Systems Engineering.

• Experience in avionic engineering domain.

• Demonstrable experience and training of critically reviewing product related regulations and standards establishing a robust process to assuring customer deliverables.

• Expertise in the principles and application of ARP 4754, RTCA DO-178, RTCA DO-200, RTCA DO-254, and RTCA DO-330 or Equivalents.

• An in-depth understanding of the full product lifecycle of programmes particularly for the UK MoD and the MoD customer acquisition processes.

• Broad Systems engineering lifecycle knowledge (ISO15288.1) and application of associated Technical Reviews.

• Understanding of the MAA Regulatory Environment and MACP.

• Familiar with avionic supply chains and capabilities.

• Dedication to quality, configuration, reliability, security and safety with a data and evidence driven mindset.

• SC Clearance or ability to attain.

• MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point), and CAD / PLM / ERP literacy.
