Meet our Board
Neil Longfellow, Chair
Neil is an experienced executive and non-executive director in the nuclear sector. He is a Fellow of the Nuclear institute, a Fellow of the Institute of Measurement and Control and a Chartered Engineer.
​
He has a broad range of key skills with a deep understanding of the nuclear sector across the world, but his key attributes are leadership, strategy, and stakeholder management. He has a broad network and has worked directly with governments in the UK and internationally.
​
Cumulatively Neil has over 15 years of working on company boards as a non-executive and executive director.​
Kurt Canfield, CEO
Delkia is led by Kurt Canfield, a Chartered Engineer and Certified Functional Safety Professional with over 20 years’ experience in functional safety, qualification and certification. In the last 10 years, Kurt has overseen Delkia's grow has grown from serving the nuclear industry in Cumbria, to now serving Defence and Nuclear sectors.

Kurt is incredibly proud of the team he has helped create — one of his favourite parts of his job is seeing his employees grow and flourish.​

David Irwin, Independent Non-Executive Director
David is ACA qualified and a Fellow of the ICAWE and Corporate Finance Faculty.
​
He​ spent three years in audit during qualification, followed by 4 years in management consulting at Arthur Andersen. David left Arthur Andersen in 1999 to develop an independent CF practice to fill a gap in the market left by the Big 5, being transactions in the £2m to £30m EV range.
​
David established Sentio Partners in November 2011, which has since become a highly respected regional practice, with clients ranging from FTSE100/250 companies to large international groups, institutional investors, and entrepreneurial OMB’s.
Marcus Patrick, Interim Chief Finance Officer
Marcus's role involves developing financial operations for the business and ensuring they are in line with overall strategy. His responsibilities also include HR, digital transformation, supply chain management and compliance.

After completing his degree in Business Studies Marcus qualified as a Chartered Management Accountant and has worked across a range of sectors in senior roles. He previously headed up the finance team for Marshall Aerospace and Defence Group’s advanced composites business and also worked at KBR. ​
Rebecca, Company Secretary
Rebecca is our Company Secretary and EA to Kurt Canfield and Paul Dingley. She brings a wealth of expertise and a broad range of skills to her role.
Before joining Delkia, Rebecca was a Personal Assistant and worked also worked as a qualified paralegal in Company Law before transitioning into education, where she served as a High-Level Teaching Assistant and Clerk to the Governors for seven years.
